STEWART GERMANN LAW OFFICE was founded by Stewart Germann in 1993. Previously, Stewart Germann had been a partner in various law firms and he has been involved in franchising since 1980.

Stewart Lloyd Germann is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and he is also a Notary Public. Stewart obtained the qualifications of Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Auckland and he specializes in Franchising Law.

STEWART GERMANN LAW OFFICE handles all aspects of property law, commercial law and company law, with particular emphasis on licensing, distribution agreements and franchising law. He acts for a number of major Australian Franchisors who have entered the New Zealand market, as well as acting for many franchisors in New Zealand. The firm has also acted for numerous franchisees and prides itself on providing expert legal advice in relation to franchising and small business. STEWART GERMANN LAW OFFICE also provides advice in the Intellectual Property area, including trade mark registration.

Stewart Germann is the Chairman of the Franchise Association of New Zealand Inc. (FANZ). He is also a member of the Franchise Council of Australia Limited (FCA) which was formerly known as the Franchise Association of Australia and New Zealand Limited (FAANZ). He has presented papers on franchising at the 1995 FAANZ Conference at Melbourne and the 1996 FAANZ Conference at Sydney. STEWART GERMANN LAW OFFICE is also a member of the International Franchise Association (IFA).
